After twenty-two-year-old Alysa Clark-Fitzgerald moves into her family's old vacation home, she is shocked to discover a mysterious portal to the past hidden in the attic. When Alysa meets Annalyse Johnson, a gravely ill young woman from the year 1955 who happens to be not only her distant relative but also all but identical in appearance, the two women decide to switch places so that Annalyse's life can be saved with the aid of modern medical treatment.
Upon arriving in the past, Alysa meets Annalyse's strict, no-nonsense husband, Michael. Playing the part of an obedient housewife doesn't come easily to Alysa, and before long she finds herself over Michael's knee for a painful, humiliating spanking. More embarrassing still, she soon learns that when she has been really naughty her bottom will be punished inside and out.
Though his firm-handed discipline often leaves her with blushing cheeks and a burning backside, Alysa cannot help falling in love with Michael, and she is not at all upset when Annalyse decides that she would prefer to remain in the twenty-first century. But will Alysa ever be able to bring herself to tell Michael the truth about herself, and will he still want her as his wife if she does?

An OldFashioned Marriage eBook Ashlynn Ally
This contains some spoilers. This was an interesting version of a time travel story. I enjoyed the author's vision of life in 1955. The hero would not quite be my idea of perfect but the heroine loves him and the life they make together so that is clearly what is important in a romance novel. Lots and lots of spanking included so if that is something you enjoy, you will likely really enjoy this story because it is rather well done.I fell short of loving the story though because of the ending. I do not like that Mickey and Alysa had to make such drastic sacrifices in their lives in an effort not to change the future "too much." I think that would have been impossible. Of course, I do realize we are talking about time travel here and complaining that something does not seem realistic is a bit like complaining about the realism of a vampire novel. But still...I agree with Ray Bradbury's vision that even tiny changes would have a huge impact. The idea that Mickey and Alysa had to leave the country for their whole lives and not have children in an effort to keep everything in balance seemed sad and dampened my enjoyment. The book was good but I just wanted a better HEA for them.

An OldFashioned Marriage eBook Ashlynn Ally Reviews
Ashlynn Ally is a new to me author, but i will certainly read more of your books. She has a lovely way of writing, the story flows really well. I really enjoyed this book. You don’t really think how different things were in the fifties. Alysa is a very likable charcater and I loved her struggles to adapt to her new life and the strict and caring Michael. They connect really well. The love and spanking scenes are very well done.
I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an advance review copy
What a wonderfully entertaining new twist on time travel. It’s loaded with intrigue, spanking and sex. The tale of two distant (look-alike) relatives, spanning a 60 year difference in their lifetimes, who switch places to save the life of one, which ultimately saves the marriages of both. Well thought out and written, vividly described spanking scenes, and lusty loving sex. You will want to set aside a couple of hours to read this story through in one sitting because you won’t want to put it down. A full five star frolic.
I received this book as an advance review copy from the publisher.
The story flowed well and was believable. The dynamic between the two main characters was fantastic. The discipline spankings were hot. It captures your attention from the start.
Interesting story line. A little with suspense with spice.
I enjoyed this one, but is expensive... i would love to read Mickey's POV. In the end this book is good, but not great.
This book didn't disappoint me in the slightest. Honestly, there were so many times I was like, "Someone make a movie out of this, this is too quality omg." Like those plot twists?? 👌👌👌
I love the 1950s role playing. Lots of fun and spanking. Great read.
